I just saw this today, I lost touch with everyone from bootcamp, but I know everyone would remember Barberio. There was a reason our RDC's called him the "All-POC", no one else in our division worked harder or was as sharp a Sailor. I'll never forget the time he let Chief know about a fairly significant "hygiene problem" with the laundry, still makes me crack up four years later. My condolences to his friends and family, Michael is gone but not forgotten. Rest in peace Barberio! - HM2 Lesser

Wow.. Mike and I had the same birthday.. I worked with him for almost a year and a half at REC Warehouse... I got a new phone and didn't hear a "Happy Birthday" this year... Then just found out a week ago of this tragedy... He was the most caring person I had EVER met. I know these are the types of things people feel they have to say when one passes but there is no getting around it about him. He looked never to himself. The most encouraging, hard-working guy I knew.
