Old cheques still usable

As bank account holders shift to use of the new cheque system, they will still be able to use the old generation cheques as usual until the Kenya Bankers Association, KBA, announces the end of the transition period. The Chief Executive Officer of KBA, Habil Olaka, says that after the changeover period, which tentatively ends on 15th June, the old cheques will take 21 days to clear.
