Prisoner Cell Block H - Terri and Joan (2/4)

Seemingly unable to leave the rosters at work, Joan attempts to adjust to having her flighty young companion around the house, and whilst within the prison walls she cannot relax and enjoy an innocent shoulder massage, she is not averse to discussing their domestic arrangements in a booming voice in the hustle and bustle of the staffroom. The tendency to bite people's heads off whilst snorting and gurning, which previously seemed to charm Terri, appears to begin to grate, but Joan exhibits her softer side and reveals to her "friend" that the insanity of love has driven her to describe the mammoth-browed, pouty, flouncy figure of Pippa Reynolds as "attractive". In spite of her soft voice and the ever-present pianist, however, the couple's meal out is soured before Terri even realises she has her dress on back-to-front. Back at Wentworth, she is once again demonstrating her lack of security awareness, naturally discussing their affair in front of an open cell door -- and her idea of a nice "surprise" seems even less appropriate.

Terrie was right that Joan did ask for Pippa's reply back to her. And Joyce was right as well that Joan shouldn't talk about her private life if she's gonna get touchy and think that people will "gossip" about it.
