if the fruiting body has opened and dropped all its spores isnt there a kind of hormone that tells all the mycelia to die out?

how do i put the mycelium into the jar of vermiculite do i just place it on there, or do i mix it i wtih water and put it into a syringe?

after it grows for me, how do i just place it in an enviorenment where it can grow? or should it go in vermiculite?

sk82live92 yepp seems so. just give it sterlie food and the conditions it needs and it'll grow for you ;)

I seem to have managed to get oyster mushroom to grow very well. what I did was sterilizing the "food" for the mushroom. ripped the mushrooms I wanted to grow apart and put it all in a container. seems to work ok. all the containers seems just to have oyster mushroom mycelium. so it seems it doesn't need to be that sterile. just "enough" sterile.

Your chances are better for a successful clone if you use fresh tissue. However, with a clean lab and agar skills, you can clone dry mushroom tissue.
