Celebrating his 50th birthday, long-time police captain Andrew Harvey (ret.) reaches a lifelong goal of setting a world bench press record, lifting 435 pounds at the Pasadena Senior Games in June 2011. Coached by Harry Sneider, previous record holder, Harvey accomplished the feat in his first Senior Games competition. The San Marino, California resident was cheered on by wife Davida and daughter Rachel. Harvey is a PhD and teaches at several area colleges. He is also the author of two books (Call To Lead and Leadership Texas Hold Em Style) and a sought after leadership speaker.
