Homemade Hydrogen Bomb - Big Bottle

An explosion made from combining sodium hydroxide and water in a bottle about 1/4 of the way, then adding balls of aluminium foil in the bottle and closing the top. There is so much hydrogen produced that the bottle explodes.

This is very loud, I heard an echo 3 seconds after the initial explosion, after bouncing off nearby mountains, I worked out that you could hear this about a kilometer away.

ye good idea, i thought of that aswell, but i havn't tried it yet because i thought i'd have to get a decent fire going for it not to blow the fire out. Will try it one day though.

The "Works cleaner" has to be the right type just because it is labeled the Works doesn't mean its the right stuff. You have to know your chemicals,some people shouldn't even light a match much less use chemical reactions.

Sodium hydroxide is wicked/caustic. Hydrochloric acid cleaner and aluminum foil gives a similar result,loud boom in a 2-3 liter bottle.

The gas being produced is hydrogen. Extreamly flammable. Do your homework before you start playing in your backyard. The dinasaurs aren't weeding out the slow ones anymore so we've come up with these ways to do it.
