I am an Erasmus student studing at MMU, and to those who say that Manchester has a high rate of Crime, i must say that i have not had any problem yet, i walk along the city centre and oxford road in the middle of the night to go to clubs or just to come back to my hall of residence and all i see is young people having fun... It is true that there has been some rapes in this time back, but i suppose that it occurs in any city of the world

People still talk about how Manchester used to be rather than how it is now. High crime rate blah blah blah. It's actually a great place to be nowadays

Not as good as or as big as Leeds city center but the other places around Manchester make it bigger than Leeds

@baleariclife89 I live there :) I guess I was angry at the time when I wrote that comment. I love this town, I really do. It can be timid at times because of the stupid chavs that play "gangsta". But yeah, its a great place with lots of fun and the friendliest individuals. Ive been south and found out that noone talks to you in the big city. The north is where its at! whereabouts do you live? :)
