Post office robbery liverpool

Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses to a robbery, which took place at the Post Office at Moorfield Shopping Parade, Moorfield, Tower Hill, Kirkby.

At around 11.55am on Saturday, 12th July, 2 men entered the Post Office; one of the men was able to gain access to the staff side of the counter where he threatened a female worker before filling a hold all with money. The second man acted as look out and was seen to usher customers away from the Post Office using a wheel brace.

The first male is described as white, between 18-22 years old, around 5ft 7" tall, of thin build. He was wearing all black clothing, a top wearing a hood that he wore up and with the drawstring pulled in tightly around his face.

The second male was wearing a distinctive tracksuit, which was white on the front and back and had blue sleeves. He had a white hood, which he wore up to conceal his face; he could have possibly been wearing a scarf, which was wrapped around his face. The man was wearing beige cargo type trousers, he appeared to be armed with a wheel brace.

A sum of money was taken in the robbery.

Merseyside Police is appealing for anyone with information or who may have witnessed this incident to contact the police on 0151 7096010 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. The Post Office is offering a reward for information, which leads to the arrest, and prosecution for those responsible for this incident
