This is Holly!!!!! :) I am riding her for a friend a couple of times a week. shes 20yo and just coming back into work slowly after a year off. shes q big for me, so i have problems getting her to move as you can see, but we have managed to take the thigh rols off since this was filmed so i can put my leg underneath me more now, and i have started riding her in spurs for a few times to wake her up a little. but shes a very lovely horsie :) and tries very hard when shes not too busy taking the mic outta me :D

and sorry that she is squished in the video!!!! damn youtube, although it does make me look rather skinny haha

  • Wow, beautiful horse. I don't want to sound like a know-it-all, and if it comes across like that you have my permission to slap me across the face. It looked like you were having trouble keeping your seat planted and your legs on and around her. What my trainer tells me to do is stand in my stirrups a bit, like a 1/2 seat, which helps put weight into your stirrups and keep your leg from swinging. Also, imagine there are 2 bricks tied to your heals, pulling them down too the ground. It mentally

  • @TheStewartFamily5 u dnt sound like a know it all at all, and it was very nicely put. yer i was, there were some massive thigh blocks on the saddle, and because im much too small for the saddle they were on my calves, so i couldnt physically move my legs underneath me. thankfully we managed to get them off so now my legs are back where they go normally lol, but yes ur right, i was finding it so hard to even rise to trot lol, it was driving me mental!

  • @nutter666f haha well in that case I can definitely identify. Been there, done that, using my own saddle from now on lol

  • @TheStewartFamily5 haha, i just need to either grow, or find a nice short horse tehe

  • you dont look that small on her your just right for her good luck with her xx

  • @nutter666f haha

  • @TheStewartFamily5 kinda gets you too lengthen and strengthen your leg on her sides. I really don't want to sound mean, I still struggle with it. I say this only because it has helped me and I hope it does the same for you. = )
