Good old Fred Franz gives a talk on the Society's habit of predicting things. He shows how Rutherford managed to make an ass of himself. Of course he was the faithful slave directed by God's spirit, but that didn't stop him from teaching a falsehood. Was Jesus playing with the witnesses or was he speaking of his own originality? I think the answer is obvious. Still trust the Governing Body when they say they are "God's Spirit directed organization" after this?

  • I was raised a JW, and now earning a doctorate in sociology. I specialize in religion, and understand that the human being is in part divine. We are born with blank slate, and our mind sees the parents as all powerful. This impression stays with us for the duration of life. The truth is every religion is true if the solo practicioner is true. it is false if we are practicing without sincerity

  • as a former JW, it is absurd to me still today to believe that I once believed everything they said without questioning, and whenever questioned my conscience came into play and it was a dilemma. I thank the lord savior Jesus Christ for saving me and taking me off this organization that is truely a false prophet. To all JWs out there: I pray for you constantly, please read the scriptures, that's all it takes and let jesus free you forever!!!!! Amen

  • People are not governed by reason, logic, or justice. We each seek continuously to negotiate a better position for our own status. We inevitably then strive to convict others to reduce their position, in effect to elevates our own. Most will work in groups that condemn society at large to make themselves feel more "righteous". I agree with you about not following any prophet, or "false" profit, - most will only follow "easy and lucrative profit". anyway,

  • @dynagravitomagnetic When you put it that way,our diffrences are not so far apart after all.I have a strong fathe in the scriptures, but still i believe in the freedom to choose what ever one wants to believe. But in the scriptures its written something like this:When you see a propecy not coming true, youll know it's not from God.God's choosen ones, speak not from them self, but from God.That way its: prophet or a false prophet. Esekiel or Daniel did not have 93% propecys right but 100.Unlike today

  • @HowardTheServant you don't quite follow the idea. You alone are responsible for your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. if you have an idea of the universe is outside, being a separate entity, then you exclude your personal liability. The fact is you are a component of the universe. What name you choose to call it is not the determining factor! You are a part of the divinity, and are responsible for developing your own emotional maturity, not forcing your will on others in the guise of "god"!

  • @dynagravitomagnetic You know what? I just leave this one alone...

  • @HowardTheServant okay, that is really bizzare. - I hope you recover from your mental illness some day.

  • @dynagravitomagnetic So you say: as long as i believe sincerily lucifer is the light bringer to mankind, the saviour, then its okay??? Get a grip on your self. Grow up,,,,,wake up!! Jesu is the Christ and The Holy Spirit is our guide, not any organisations who suck blood and money from the naive

  • He made an ASS out of all the peoples of Jw then, and all who still are indoctrinated by the doctrines of the witness now

  • @19868441 I think political offices are going to be a thing of the past. A worldwide web based grand jury of the working class needs be formed to counterbalance the central banks and their puppet governments. All religion is true and all religion is false depending on the individual practitioner. I was forced into JW at about six years old. A functional family can withstand a white elephant by careful planning and teamwork, but a dysfunctional family can't even stand a mouse in the house! okay?

  • @dynagravitomagnetic You have a doctorate in sociology (religion) and 1. you are or was a JW at the time you decided to attend college? 2. I was hoping for something more profound than this load of BS. 3. All religion are right you just got to believe. WTF, What office are trying to be elected
