@gatheringoflight Some day it will happen. For now, Christopher Tolkien owns the film rights on his father's work (except on The LOTR and The Hobbit), and unless someone succeeds in convincing him that film adaptations are also a good way of getting people to read Tolkien's books, he doesn't want the stories to be put in a movie. Pity. Peter Jackson's films made me read (and buy) all of Tokien's works. Even The history of middle earth. :)

the transition at 2:45 is just epic

is not the song a mix of the Nazgul from Lord of the Rings

I have never thought Hurin like here..

@yeyolopez I think 'Nienor' is Siena Miller, right? The one change I'd make to the casting of this superb video is switching her with the actress playing Finduilas - Siena can certainly pass as a relation of Finarfin, Galadriel, Finrod et al!

-
not bad-- not who I would've cast for Hurin though
you Must realize that Hurin is the GREATEST mortal warrior of ALL TIME!
he needs to be more epic

they really must make a movie abouth the children of Hurin, The tale of Turin together with Beren and Luthien and the story of Feanor while he was alive were my favorite in all the silmarillion, but l think l like The story of Turin Better, and what happend to Hurin when he was released from Angband

Well done video, the clip representing the leap of Nienor is from the movie "Last of Mohicans" with came out in the early 1990s. Thank you very much for this video its a moving story and well worth exploring.
I wonder if someone will ever finally come up with an idea of filming more of Tolkien's writing. There are so many stories to be explored.Any of the following I'd love to see on the big screen(with no order of preference):The Children of Hurin,Beren and Luthien's quest for the Silmaril,of Tuor and the fall of Gondolin,of Numenor and its wars with Sauron, the War of Wrath,or even the dwarf-goblin wars which could serve as a sort of prelude to a full-length "The Hobbit" movie

Outstanding! Thank you!
This tantalizing video shows what could be done by Hollywood to really expand on Tolkien's mythology. Fans of LOTR need to know that LOTR was merely the END of a MUCH LARGER mythological story that Tolkien created.
