Rural residents are being forced to pay unfair delivery charges by retailers. New legislation designed to cut down on irresponsible mortgage lending is being considered by the Financial Services Authority. Emergency services have appealed to people to stay off frozen stretches of water after a 37-year-old man was killed trying to rescue his dog.
