The Iraq Veterans Against the War, with help from Veterans for Peace, and Colorado Veterans Alliance, set up a "Tower Guard" post in Acacia Park for the entire weekend of November 16-18. Participating were Garrett Reppenhagen, chair of the board of the national organization, Mark Wilkerson, president of the Colorado chapter, Secretary Jeff, Treasurer, Elizabeth Spradlin, members, Floyd and Hank, and chair of the Colorado Veterans Alliance, Marine, Rick Duncan. A number of other Veterans participated in the very successful action. This is a collection of some of the news reports from local media. Find more complete details here:

  • Ah, the opposition. Well spoken, credible, and so logical. Everything comes down to gay. The only name they know to call anyone. Gay. I could delete your pathetic post, but I want your shit to stink for all to smell.

  • Jesse McBeth, Richard Strandlof, Rick Duncan how many more?

  • You clowns amaze me. Not a damn real soldier among you.

  • @healthhavencom PURE BS

  • I never claimed to speak for the rest of us in uniform. And, reprarations for Iraqis? Really? How about Iraqis start paying reperations for all my dead buddies, and all the guys in walter reed. Sounds fair.

  • Nobody said they did spoke for those still in harms way. And you don't speak for every still in uniform either, use a little logic. And finally, nobody has more rights than anyone else in this country, military service or not!

  • They are not in uniform Major. They have no military insignias, no rank or unit ID. Therefore, they are NOT in a military uniform. They are wearing camo thats it! Did'nt you get the memo? Some other Marine officer tried to charge IVAW members with conduct charges over two years ago when Operation 1st Casualty was started by IVAW. Guess what" the military lost their case! The IVAW members won.
