hi i have 2 pearl river map turtles, and i have a 22 gallon tank will thate be bigger nuth for ther whole life or not and they are babys

Red Tiger Oscars have "stripping" like that. It's normal, nothing bad. Some are more visable than others. When I had my Red Tiger Oscar he would go from solid black and orange to having those real light stripes and bright orange.
A buddy of mine has a Mississippi Sawback Turtle or a Mississippi Map Turtle i'm not sure the exact name but it looks similar to your Texas Map.

Where did you get your turtles?...
-
@Washingtonnation you might want a 50 gal for an oscar
-
there is nothing wrong with your oscar :P my baby oscar has the same thing.. its called a RIT oscar.. theyre very cool fish
-
how big is your tank
-
the white edges on his fins which is what i think you are talking about is just your oscar growing the colour will fill out on the white and more white will extend... therefore dont worry its nothing bad just growing normally
Earthling1984 I have been keeping fish for about 3 years and always wanted an Oscar. A 10 gallon tank opened up a has nothing in it and was completely redone and cleaned. I was wondering if I could get a tiger Oscar for about 6 months and then upgrade to a 30 gallon or 20? Thanks for the help, and can you do more hedgehog vids?

@Washingtonnation i would wait till you have the proper size tank setup... always best to have the tank setup for the inhabitants adult size before putting them in.

@earthling1984 Then can turtles live if their tank does'nt have a water heater but has a heat and UV lamp?
herp45 3 months ago
@herp45 depends on the temp of the water(or the temp of the house really which will be the temp of the water), depends on type of turtle and their needs of temperature.
