@h3ll6ate Well pretty much like sneakers. Cleats are no good on the original astro-turf. Which KC replaced with grass in 1991.

One of two people John Elway hated from KC. The other, Deron Cherry who intercepted Elway more times than any other player. Derrick's number 58 was retired in 2009 joining 9 others who have had thier numbers retired in KC.

If Derrick Thomas would have worn his seat belt and didn't weave and speed through traffic in the SNOW would not have been thrown from the car which resulted from his paralyzed from the waist down. Interesting fact, the other passenger who did wear his seatbelt was unharmed. That goes to show you why you need seatbelts because all of this could of been prevented.

I met him at the pro bowl in 1990 for about 20 seconds, just to get his autograph. I met him again at the pro bowl in 91 and he remembered me by name. I was floored. He was really humble, unlike a lot of the other athletes. He took his time and talked to all the kids individually and that was just who he was. That's why he was NFL man of the year. One great human being!! He's on God's team now. RIP D.T.
