When I first heard this I loved it. Hooked me in with a fantastic beat, humerous lyrics and a story line about something other then love. Now my kids love it too - one of my daughters so much so that she screams cannonball at the top of her excited voice as soon as she hears it!

I remember first hearing this back in the late 80's at a friend's wedding...I don't know if he exactly fits the Rockabilly scene...But the beat and motiff of this tune certainly does:)

Funny, but I saw him open for someone up here in Ottawa, Canada around that time and I couldn't remember who it was. I had it narrowed down to Jonny Winter, Roy Buchanan or SRV. Then I saw your comment. Bingo. It was opening for SRV, Webb Wilder put on a great show and his guitar player was/is amazing.

Saw this cat at the '88 Volunteer Jam in Nashville. His music came across just like I like it.) raw and loud! Perfect for warming us up for some kid, I think his initials were SRV.

I saw him open for the Georgia Sattelites...in Mid Americal about the same time and it made me remember him this long! Great musician/band performer :)
