Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami, publisher of Hinduism Today magazine, reads his Publisher's Desk article from the April/May/June 2009 issue. The article is a 45-minute introduction to Hinduism. Part 4 of 5.
@RedDragon033195 There is a common origin. The history can be fuzzy and controversial, but a well developed archaeological theory says a group called the Aryan's migrated out of the area of Iran thousands of years ago and conquered Europe, the Russian Steppe and much of Western India. Because of this, people in those areas came to speak their language which is why everything from Hindi to Russian to English is classified as Indo-European languages. Likewise, religious ideas were also spread.
I know this has nothing to do with the faith itself, but I had to comment: At 7:04, that is a BEAUTIFUL family. Not only are they physically beautiful, but they seem so happy and united! And that little girl and her mother are just gorgeous!
thank you for this video I have learned much from all of them....Peace
