Carter: Juliet? Juliet? Are you here?

(Sees Meredith come in with an iced mocha in her hands)

Carter: Hey, Meredith have you seen Juliet around?

Meredith: No, why?

Carter: Cuz I wanna ask her if I can borrow her makeup for my date with Dylan.

Meredith: You can borrow some of mineand you can wear one of my dresses.

Carter: (eyes light up) Really?

Meredith: (nods) Really.

Carter: (hugs her) Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Meredith: (grins) Youre welcome, youre welcome, youre welcome!

(Three hours of preparation)

Carter: Thank you, Meredith! I look fantastic. Not to brag. (what shes wearing is in the credits)

Meredith: Youre welcome.

(knock on the door)

Meredith: Better get that.
(Carter gets the door)

Dylan: Wow, Carter. You lookwow.

Carter: You look wow too!

Dylan: Ready to go? (holds out his arm for her to take and she takes it)

Carter: Yes. Bye Meredith!

Meredith: Bye! Have fun!

Carter: Ok, MOM! (closes the door and says to Dylan) Where are we going?

Dylan: The best restaurant I can afford on my job, its an Italian restaurant, La vita è Bella.

Carter: Life is beautiful is what that means.

Dylan: You speak Italian?

Carter: Yep. I took it in America. (by this time theyre in the car on the way to the restaurant)

Dylan: (when theyre at the restaurant and sitting down) So, what do you like to do?

Carter: Well, I really like playing guitar and singing.

Dylan: Me too! I mean, Im probably not as good as you but

Carter: You have to be! Cuz I suck.

Dylan: You know, this restaurant has live entertainment. You should go up there.

Carter: No way!

Dylan: (pleading face) Please? For me?

Carter: Fine.

(Carter gets up on the stage)

Carter: Hi, Im Carter. This song is called Dont Walk Away. Its a song I wrote myself. (singing) Ive been, runin in circles all daylong. Im out, of breath, but Im still goin strong. Im gonna get you, yeah, no matter what they say. You think Im losin, but I always get my way, hey! (chorus) Dont walk away when Im talkin to you. This aint no time for your bad attitude. Dont gimme, that face. Cuz you know down for the chase cuz my hearts already in it and Im never gonna quit it. When you finally gonna get it? Dont walk away.(end chorus) You act, act like, like I dont have a clue. You think, you know, it all, but Im so on to you. You think you figured out just how to win this game, Im on your tracks yeah I know every move you make hey! (chorus) I wont give up just like that! (The whole restaurant erupts in applause and cheering)

Dylan: (When Carter gets back to the table) Wow! That was incredible! How did you become such a good singer?

Carter: My mom was a professional singer. Before she died.

Dylan: Oh. Im so sorry. I didnt mean to bring it up.

Carter: No, its fine! You didnt know.

Dylan: So, how many songs have you written like that before?

Carter: Tons! You know the song I sung in the talent show?

Dylan: I knew you sang in the show and won but I couldnt be there to see it. Sorry. I had too much homework.

Carter: Oh its ok. The song I sung in the show I wrote that one too.

Dylan: Could I come by sometime and hear them?

Carter: You really want to? You know theyre not that good, right?

Dylan: Carter, that song you sang up there was great. The others are bound to be too.

Carter: Wellif you really want too


(30 minutes later after the date is over, Dylan and Carter are outside Carters dorm door)

Carter: I had an awesome time tonight. Thank you.

Dylan: Youre welcome.

Carter: Well, see you around.

Dylan: (as she turning to open the door) Wait!

Carter: Yeah?

Dylan: (leans in)

Carter: (leans in)

(They kiss passionately)

Dylan: I love you.

Carter: (Kinda startled but says) I love you too.

Dylan: Will you be my girlfriend or is that rushing things too much?

Carter: (hugs him) I like rushing things. Yes.

Dylan: Ill call you.

Carter: Ill pick up.

Dylan: Bye.

Carter: Bye.

(Carter goes inside and puts her back against the door and slides down)

(Juliet flips on the light switch and Meredith, Shay, and Sabrina and her are sitting on the couch)

Juliet: So, howd it go?

Meredith: Did he kiss you?

Shay: Did he ask you to be his girlfriend?

Sabrina: Whered you go? Whatd you do?

Carter: Juliet; Magically. Meredith; Yess!. Shay; Yess!. Sabrina; to an Italian restaurant and I had to sing a song then we ate and left then we came outside the door and he kissed me and asked me to be his girlfriend.

Juliet, Meredith, Shay, and Sabrina: Awwh!
