I noticed that The Porsche 911 GT1s, McLaren F1 GTRs, Nissan R390s, etc. They all can theoretically be a high ranking car (if they are run by a works team) in Le Mans 24 hours even today. The best of the GT cars in this race is the McLaren F1 GTR since it actually finished. On wikipedia, the Gulf Team Davidoff #41 could be second in the 2007 race! In the 2001 race, the car would have won by a lot, and the weather conditions don't seem much different either.
