Dude, psychiatrists don't even give out the side effects when they write scripts. and then when you're in their office complaining of Akathisia, debilitating muscle pain and... joint problems, they ask "why do you think that is." to which we say, "uh...i did some research." to which they reply, "Oh! we need to get you off this! Here, we'll write you a script for this!" it's a joke. med free. and the pdocs think your "better" because of the pills. Fkn morons !!!!

@SuperDelta000 My mom didn't kill herself 17 years ago because her psychiatrist helped her. Now I get good grades and I have a social life thanks to my psychiatrist.

@hinataxnarutofan8191 I actually got that data from my medical doctor, not a psychiatrist. I've actually never known anyone using SSRI's that killed themselves...but I do know quite a few who are on SSRI's, with varying degrees of success. Worst case scenario I've seen was the drug just not working.
Now, why take the risk? Simply because the risk is worth it. One girl I know with Bipolar disorder says she dislikes the side effects of her medication, but she dislikes the disease more.
