Cisco made a new 4 tuner TA firmware, so only 1 TA is needed if your cableco has deployed this firmware.

Unfortunately not at this time... it only works with Cable subscriptions and Cable systems. DirectTV used to have a product like this about 2 years ago but never brought it to market. I wish they would revive that product. People really were excited about it.

Absolutely... any cable company that supplys CableCards must support this technology (FCC rules).

TWC San Diego has the new firmware, and more providers are deploying it, albeit slowly. One person said it could do 6 tuners, but I think he is in the beta program. I agree on this information, as it's even better to only need 1 TA.

Last 4 digits of the new firmware is 1402.

@rendezvous65 Yea I see that now. Thanks. This is the single greatest thing since sliced bread. I even stream tuners to another computer on my home network. Are you kidding me?! HDTV in other rooms without having to buy another TV. Thanks Ceton! You're top shelf for certain.
