01 Rep Massa opens a Health Care Town Hall meeting

Congressman Eric Massa represents the 29th district of New York and held the first of a series of Health Care town hall meetings about Health Care.

He was faced with a split crowd of supporters and opponents and conducted a remarkable Town Hall meeting in the face of a large vocal contingent.

In this first clip he tried to dispel the myths and misconceptions of the what is current in HR 3200 the bill currently being debated in the House of representatives.

Massa does a very good job creating teachable moments to the misconceptions throughout htis town hall meeting.

We will suffer more greatly from HR3200. Healthcare is not a power granted to the federal government by the Constitution. Getting rid of Nixon's HMO act, giving tax credit for insurance back to the individual, and allowing individuals to shop for health insurance outside their state of residence would be a good start to true healthcare reform.
