Bluebell Railway 50th Anniversary Gala, Part 1, 07/08/10

Friday 6th to Sunday 8th August 2010 saw the Bluebell Railway hold their 50th Anniversary Gala, featuring a strong line up of locos including three visitors. Locos in action during the three day event were:

Visiting Furness Railway No. 20
Visiting Aveling Porter 2-2-0WT No. 9449 'Blue Circle'
Visiting 15- inch gauge Pacific No. 7 'Typhoon', from the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway

@AndreiTupolev 9017 is currently in need of a re-tube. And even for the GWR the tubes are of a strange size so have been on order and will arrive later this month. I dread to think how packed the railway would have been if 60163 had made it.

In a way, perhaps it's kind of a good thing that the home fleet wasn't upstaged by a certain A1 pacific.
