  • (continued from last comment) so they gave the little kids Oreos and baloons to cheer them up. when it stopped, we drove home in our hail-pelted car. the power was out, so we just played somke board games. then my mom got a call on her cell phone. thats when we heard of the tornado. I have been deathly afraid of tornadoes since this happened, and I have been worrying about it for a long time. Thank god there werent more lives lost, but still, pray for that little boy in heavan.

  • (continued from last comment) My other grandpa, who lives in the country side of Hugo, lost his windmill, which was found in a Hugo Province. My grandma and other cousin was in her one-floor house when they heard the sirens, and they got into the closet and prayed. All they lost was a garage door. • My cousins, aunts, and grandparents live in Hugo. My cousins lost their house, but salvaged a TON of stuff. And my uncle found his car upside down inside the house, and it still worked! The car now has the sticker "Tornado Proof" on its window. My other aunt was inside the shower when it happened. she felt the house rumble, then her water stoped, so she stepped out of the shower, got a towel on, and looked out the window. she screamed when she saw all the debris outside. • We didn't rebuild. Apparently we are the only people, other than the Prindles, who did not rebuild. It's pretty simple, we had 3 cats and 3 dogs, all survived the tornado with me. Nobody would rent to us. I think the maximum was two dogs and two cats. Our home was entirely destroyed and on 159th street - the path of the tornado. We weren't going to get rid of our pets. So, we had no other choice than to move.
