How can anyone be sure that the teenagers in the car were drunk? I saw no alcohol or glass. Instead, the five of them were talking, and the driver was not paying attention to the road, which may lead to a distracted driving charge. Maybe , only the cop hitting driver was drunk.

@Super4me2know. If impared drivers are to be imprisoned, what should happen to those impared drivers who injure people? kill people? And if that's so shouldn't those who text while driving get imprisonment, after all text drivers are more likely to kill than drink drivers. Yet all the governments and road safety authorities around the world sweep this under the carpet for they know there'd be an uproar by the same people who are anti drink driving, and that includes me.

Canadian Politicans need to come together with the Canadian Government and join forces in changing the criminal law of sentencing for impaired drivers. Driving drunk is like waiving a loaded gun. Strongly urge our government to stop letting our criminals run our country=they commit the crime they can do the time.

@CComb501 Wow you're an insensitive idiot. My uncle was a cop and he died similarly. Do you honestly think that someone deserves to die for SAVING LIVES? I don't feel sorry for anyone who get arrested for a DWI. And if you can't have the sympathy for someone killed, think of the person who did it. they KILLED someone. they will NEVER be able to give that life back.
