My free solo of Propellor Wall, after headpoint practice on a shunt (and a top-rope an hour previous to the solo). The route was originally given VS when it was soloed by John Syrett (who was also a member of LUUMS at the time)in the 70's - nowadays the route gets the weighty grade of E5 5c, and is pretty sustained and scary throughout.

  • @2ee55haan Errrr, think the road is Hanging Stone Road. Just look for the Cow and Calf Pub on google or something and it'll have a postcode there, that'll be close enough

  • how old were u wen u did that

  • Think i'd just turned 21 at the time. I had been climbing for about 4 years by this point.

  • Impressive is an understatement, that was incredibly cool! :)

  • that looked a pretty easy route but imagine if u fucked up, u'd be scrambled eggs right now lol

  • made my day!!! thanks downloadmusic .im

  • @elmothestar What i said wasn't offensive in any way, all i meant is that it is obviously much harder than vs, is a very impressive ascent!

  • @alfonz1986 there is such thing as E6 5c :)

    Death Trap Direct at gogarth

  • @Bonne123 E5 5c often means a 'death route' since most E5's are generally 6a-6b. For the route to warrant such a high E-number with a low technical grade its gonna be pretty unsafe. I guess the protection for the upper cruxes is non-existent and might aswell be soloed. I recently climbed E3 5c and a fall from the crux would have resulted in broken legs, so this route must be horrific!

  • @Bonne123 yeye but they want more

  • @cwdellar Well i get it with ropes too..

  • @Bonne123 people climb solo for the adrenaline buzz

  • Why free solo? U have something against living? U hate ropes? I just dont get it, can u tell me? Looks very cool place.

  • @ClimberNorman I think you should solo it and then we will see sandbagging at the max!

  • Nice work on the route and the vid

  • Wonderfully done!

  • originally given VS?

now thats what i call a sandbag!

  • Its very easy i know

  • Intense! Rock looks slippery and reachy. Excellent video and music. -- ghd

  • yeah, still alive, although i did have a belayer drop me 35 ft a few months ago

  • Are you still alive?

  • What 2000 foot traverse at Ench Rock? Looking

at the guide book and not seeing it.

  • nice job man, i'll be free soloing a 2000ft traverse route in Enchanted Rock, Texas in two weeks. i've been watching random solo videos to get in the right mindset.
