The tribe watched in disappointment and sadness as the hunting party came back empty handed and fewer in number than what they had left with. The hunters didn't want to go back into the forest as they told stories of the terrible monsters that dwell there. The tribe couldn't move this late in the season as winter would soon be here. In the sweat lodge, "Blue cloud" consulted the great spirit . There he was given a vision as to where to find a sacred bow that blessed any arrow it shot and there for could obliterate the blight which has cursed the forest. Blue Cloud knew he was give the vision because the Great spirit knew he had the best chance of curing the forest and there for saving the tribe. But he also knew that even though he would cleanse the forest, he himself might not come back from "The Forbidden Forest".

  • Forbidden Forest was fab on C64. This homage is really cool! Funny dance, too.

  • I'm glad you liked it.

  • I found this on google earth near my grandmothers house. What is the story behind this? I need to see a making of video or director commentary.

  • Forbidden Forest was A popular video game back in the 80s, made For the commodore 64.

I took your advise and made an annotation commentary.

  • I really like the video especially the part with the skelatons. I like how everythings put together and the effects. Great Job!

  • Thanks, with the few surprises I added I think it might have come out better than the original game

  • ooh, nice!

You put a lot of work into this, and though cheezy, it's well made.

    Kudos man, this rocks.

And the fireworks scene was a nice addition to the best dance scene in the bunch..

  • my favorite game ;__;

  • Wow... wow...

This was so bad... so cheesy... but I loved every moment of it.

  • 0:24 I laughed so loud when I saw the guy beginning to run LOL! great homage ! I love that game since I was a little kid! :)

  • Great show guys! Loved it!

  • when I thought I saw it all....

  • lol

  • Well done. Respect.^^

  • Cheesy...but then again, if Forbidden Forest were a film, it would be a B movie :). You really captured the stress/dread of the Demogorgon (vanishing monster) battle. The banshee's death was a bit of a letdown...the half minute, ear-splitting scream from the game was almost as iconic as the hero's victory dance. Still, it's surprising to see that people still remember this old game. Thanks for honoring it.
