Te acuerdo de que español es una lengua que parte importante de nuestra cultura, además es una lengua muy interesante y la suena muy agradable para mí por eso decidí aprenderla. Tienes un buen día, desde Manila. ;-)

Im a filipino! Philippines is not! a latin country, its a one of a kind! country! HAHA kidding. seriously , still belongs to austronesian! Malay race, with a spanish-western influences , because its neither asian or hispanic. AMININ natin guys, iba tyo sa mga kapit bahay natin mga bansa, lalo naman ssa mga ibang latin na bansa. we're just simply filipino.. NA impluwensyahan lang , yun lang!

@skipperONcamera i strongly suggest that there should be a specific date every year wherein every Hispanic countries will hold a Grand Fiesta a celebration similar to Christmas and New Year exclusive to Hispanic nations only but the other nationalities are welcome to join in the fun if they like to.... that would be very much fun ^_^

I have read some of my history books that luzon visayas and mindanao are names that is given by spanish authorities to the 3 island of the archipelago...i also read that the island of luzon was even called nueva castilla...and it is so cool

Spain was only PARTIALLY an "arab state." The southern part of Spain. And that was only relatively very briefly, when compared to the complete history of Spain. Far more predominantly was the culture bequeathed by the Romans, who dominated ALL of Spain, for many more years than did the Arabs. Even Spanish language is derived from Rome.
As for Mexico, its relationship to the Philippines is primarily interconnected with Spain itself.
