police and ikea new about it . an area was cleared for us which was shocking .a lot of people bought mp3 players knowing there wouldn,t be music playing aloud . police and security enjoyed watching .there was police waiting outside and when there colleagues came out they couldn,t wait to see what they filmed .

I've seen lots of comments on here from people condemning or praising the 2 sides. At the end of the day it was a bit of light hearted fun, a tribute by those that took part to happy days (& nights). This wasn't a knife fight or someone being happy slapped, no one was hurt, a few shoppers were bemused & delayed by a few minutes. Surely there's no need for all this sniping-Here's to the good old days to all the Sanctuarys, Stargazers, Capones or whatever the club was in your day - be happy!

it was a real shame when the sanctuary closed. my first rave there was nye 1998-99 and last one was slammin vinyl when it actually closed. even if it hadnt closed though, it wouldnt be the same these days. hardcore is awful now. i have a breeze set from nye 10-11 and its garbage; mixes of dizzy fucking rascal and that band that did sex on fire. fuck me it was terrible. darren st
