Call of Duty in outer space guys, who's down for that trip?

I loved this scene! It's one of my favourites in the whole movie. It should have never been cut from the original version.

@ironraptorterror It's also possible that the colonists had pets/livestock or whatnot? Or maybe even the Queen can birth 'drones' directly so there could be more...of course that's not 'canon'...

Acid from the aliens would have destroyed that side of the building. There must of been 30-40 alien either exploding or leaking from dead carcasses on the floor thus destroying that entire area.

@MrMakosi They cut this and plenty of other scenes due to time contstraints. I believe the director's cut is about 2:40 long, and that just wasn't going to happen. It is a shame though, because it's a cool scene. But if you add this one in, then you have to add in the scene where they inventory the weapons salvaged from the drop ship wreckage, and possible one or two more connecting scenes just to keep the proper flow in the narrative.

@acandterra Eh, it was the producers who had no interest in using the Hicks or Newt characters. They insisted on Weaver being involved (she wasn't in the original scripts) since she was the "face" of the franchise. I'm not sure where Weaver gets the blame.

apparently after watching the movie and listening closely ripley talks to burke and tells him he was responsible for the deaths of 157 colonists(not including newt so there was 158 people living there)so if you do that math there was 157 aliens there+several for more from the captured marines(3-6)

Big budget blockbusters of today are nothing compared to this movie, must have seen 50 times or more, never get bored of this. Such a rollercoaster of a sci fi action/horror film. James Cameron on the top of his game
