This video pays homage to a series that is intriguing for me as both a gamer and a fan of historical pieces: Assassin's Creed. Created by Ubisoft, the original game focused on Altair- an assassin during the medieval era. It launched in 2007 to much fanfare and set a standard for "love/hate" relationships when it came to gaming. On the one hand, the visual style, story, and several gameplay asthetics involving free roaming and stealth kills was universally hailed. On the other hand, repetition and a hokey combat system were severe flaws that daunted the title in the couple years that followed.

Two years later, the sequel, Assassin's Creed II, hopes to rectify previous complaints. Shifting the role to new protagonist Ezio in renaissance Italy, AC2 makes some major improvements to the overall formula while retaining everything that made the original as unique as it is memorable. Allowing equipment/weapon upgrades, more freeroam capabilities, and a more fluid combat, it's hard not to pass this title up.

Also included in this video is Assassin's Creed: Lineage, a live action film from Ubisoft showcasing the history of Ezio's family involved in Venice politics. The video is definitely worth viewing, with Part 1 being available and two more on their way.

  • wait so they made a movie of this game or is this just home made film

  • @TheJimster1188

Ubisoft France released a film series online entitled Assassin's Creed: Lineage that chronicles Ezio's father during his tenure as an assassin. It was set so that the film served as a prequel to the second game.

  • is graphics better in 1 or 2???

  • AC2 shows alot more polish and detail compared to the first one, which says alot considering the first Assassin's Creed wasn't a terrible looking game. The best evidence of this is initial Animus loading sequences that show full city pans of parts of Italy.

  • wow lol i just noticed how psycotically cold Altair looked... sorta sweet but wow... EZIO OWNS HIM THOUGH lol

  • One of the things that bothered the lead developers was how Altair was very unrelateable. On the one hand, it fit him due to the fact that he's a cold-blooded assassin. But on the other hand, it just makes him look like an emotionless drone.

With Ezio, this is changed completely. By the end of the game, it's safe to say we know more about him than probably he does. And yes I agree. Ezio > Altair.

  • is it just me or does ezios dad look totally bad ass in this video?

  • I love this video

  • Incredible

  • DUDE AWSOME VIDEO

  • great video thumbs up if you think this game is the best of all time

  • @WeskerSurvivor83 But, Altair was trained differently from how Ezio was, Altair was probably meant to be trained to be a cold-blooded killer, unlike Ezio, he had more of a life and freedom and fun and stuff, as for Altair, he probably always isolated himself from others, which making him what he was, but then again i could be wrong

  • OMG! This other had another awesome video like this but used Skillet - Hero song instead, why did he remove it?????

  • @WeskerSurvivor83 This vid is freaking phantasmical keep it up

  • there is movie 4 assisans creed i watch it
