mine must power threw the cable seems to work fine with out it thanks rock on!

umm this is wierd cuz i have been learnin about midi lately ,from my understanding the 7 pin midi cable prvided for the fs provides power,well on mine it doesnt so i use the 9/12 adapter so yeah plug is for the power so when ya plug the adapter "wallwart" into the footswitch it powers it..
hope this helps my brtotha
