100-400mm zoom at 400mm with a 1.4 convertor (540mm). I was about 10ft away. She actually landed on my shoulder one day when I was in the garden a few weeks ago and sat there watching the birds in the hedge for about 30 seconds, talk about a surprise! No one around with a camera of course.
