Way to go avs fans for cheering him as he left the ice

@hahajoeiscool NIklas Kronwall has never hit someone in a way that would injure them, aside from the brute-force impact.

@bradnerdr I played hockey and agree that it was (by the rules) a 100% clean hit. But Wilson, from what I've seen, is in fact, a head-hunter. I'm a Wings fan, and just like Niklas Kronwall, Wilson hits hard, and picks his big hits. Also, like Kronwall, while most of his hits avoid penalties, a lot of times the hits are dirty. (I.E. when Kronwall "jumps" into his hits). Basically what I'm saying, is just because you don't take a penalty, doesn't mean the hit was clean hit.

even Jacque Lemaire said it was clean.

As a hockey fan, you love to see a guy get railed....as long as he gets back up. I love Wils but oh man you never want to see a stretcher. No matter how good a hit is, the guy needs to get up for it to be a "good" hit.

I was at the game no one on the devils thought it was a dirty hit and someone did challenge wilson to a fight after which was fine we was sticking up for his teammate and wilson fought him but it was clean hit just unfortunate he got hurt

@Ma1iciousMike Why couldn't it have been Avery?

what a clean hit. holy shit! and Wilson was a rookie... this was the most epic game for me, i love the avs and i love the devils. i hope both teams do a lot better next season.
-
hits dont get any cleaner than that

It looks like Ryan wilson also hit Patrick Elias on the side with his skate.
@TotallyUnknown
You've obviously never played hockey. Hits don't come much cleaner than that.

That was a BEAUTIFUL hit. Well timed. Clean hit for sure, it is a shame what happened to Elias though. Hope it isn't to serious.
