This is what my book teaches. You can write harp-tab like this and put it in you songbook . The tab-slide-guide is a great tool for writing harp-tab. When you understand the diatonic haramonica you know it is hard to play all the different keys of written notation.(Music). By using the harp-tab you can play with any key of harmonica and it will come out in the key of the harp. It makes it so much more easy.

Instead of learn this way with #'s you should also learn by each hole # note letter. that that way it will be eaiser to learn songs .

By placing the tab-strip with the harp-tab on it in your songbook you can compair the harp-tab and the notes and it will help you learn to read the music. It is important to see the Words of the song, the musical notation of the song and the harp-tab for the song, all at the same time. You not only get the note to play from the musical notation but also get the timing for each note. Timing is important when playing in a group.
