  • I still have this cassette. I've gotta say you can tell the difference with Q's stamp on it. I'm positive that the brothers would've rather Q produce this project. But this goes to show you how the "BUSINESS" side of the music business really screw up the "MUSIC" side of the music business.

  • @hughesjr i have read this word of u many times....Q should have protested and produced The Bros...I dig even their later records but i am a hard core funk lover...Every talented artist need a Q

  • @ADJANOMA When Quincy left A&M for his own label with Warner Brothers, he was only allowed to produce WEA artists (except for Michael Jackson). Thus he couldn't produce the Brothers Johnson anymore. They should have had a key man clause in their contract with A&M so that when Quincy left, they could have too.

  • Co-written by Irene Cara ("Fame", "Flashdance").

  • shit compared to the old stuff fuckin machines

  • most synthesized funk sounded the same old funk is the best,, the brothers r one of my favorits but not this,,, all funk bands are great but not when this style of music came out.....if this happened to rock musick it would have died as well . todays rnb is crap

  • Brothers Johnson never sounded like anyone. It is a shame that they didn't keep getting the love they desrved. Bands, trying to keep up with the times often end up losing out. LONG LIVE Brothers Johnson!

  • this album flopped bad and they got dropped by A&M. This was when New Jack Swing got hot

  • Maurice actually left the band in the early 1990's due to his Parkinson's. EWF had a gold album in 1987. He actually is still a part of EWF he just can't tour anymore. He stays in the studio, but it's not the same with out him. They only promote Bailey, Johnson, and Verdine White. The other band members are regulated to staying in the background. It was different in the 1970-1980's when everybody in the group was on the album covers. Even the Phenix Horns were showcased.
