Diet & Weight Loss Research - What Does Standard Deviation Mean?

Brad Pilon of www.EatStopEat.com and www.BradPilon.com Explains why it is very important to always look at the standard deviation in weight loss and diet research.

Standard deviations become very important when you are reviewing how many calories people ate in a study.

Good weight loss and diet research have 'tight' standard deviations.

  • SexyLisaGirl23,

I have absolutely no problems with the fact that you wish to follow the advice of Dr. Oz.

However, I have never claimed to a be a doctor and certainly do not appreciate being called a scammer.

So while I appreciate your enthusiasm for the subject, I humbly request that you at least understand who I am and what my philosophy is before you so angrily attack me.

  • Where does he ever state that he is a doctor?

And furthermore, where does he say anything other that creating a calorie deficit is the best way to lose weight?

Lastly, what gives you the right to attack him like this? Have you talked to him? Do you know him?

You just sound like you are full misdirected Hate to me.

  • I support you 100% Brad.

  • I am sorry for the trolling Bard. You are a nice guy. I' won't do it anymore.

You can delete my previous comments .

  • Sorry, that should be:

"I would encourage people TO look at Brad's writings critically, as I would for anyone's writings, but a scammer Pilon is not."

  • As someone who has fasted (inspired by Brad's writings), I can categorically say that I have NOT lost LBM, and in fact retained it AND increased energy etc.

I would encourage people not look at Brad's writings critically, as I would for anyone's writings, but a scammer Pilon is not.
