Palmdale High School in 1987

This is some footage I took on my last visit back home to Palmdale on 03-28-87. (I'm disabled now and won't be able to return again.) I hear that PHS has changed quite a bit. Wonder what it looks like today?

Class of 96, in 4 years we burried 24 friends, we looked around like it was a lottery and wondered who was next, we were tough but still had pride and manors. The big gate went up summer of 96, the punks in the office didn't dare try to put it up while we were around cuz as a school we would have torn it down. To those still there, its your town, your school, take pride and protect it. Not all of us get to say we survived phs and wish there was a memorial for all who didn't.

wow the im a freshman and it looks nothing alike like the wall you were filming with all the pictures its a mural no and the falcon looks way different. this campus was actually nice looking

Palmdale has changed up up now. We have solar panels in the front and side. New fixtures etc.

carbonsnail@rmullen: There were lot us blacks who went to school at PHS back than. I just think that the biggest difference was that we were not thugs or drug addicts. I hear that there is a sheriffs substation on the campus now. Is it true? Trip I bet that half the blacks on campus back than were Scoots at one time in there life, I was 2 badges short of Eagle. Lol

carbonsnail@juggernautbfd : lol. Class of 82. I moved away in 82 for college and military. I live up here in Northern Ca now. I have to say that I find it very funny that as a black person who grew up there the same time you did. I often find us using the same words to describe people from down below. Parasites, subhuman,vermin lol. Do ever notice this about us. People here describe me a Nazified and im like wtf? Isn't it a trip how we were all brought up? "Down below" Troglodytes and shit...

im a sophmore right now and.......wow as u might already know from the other comments it has changed!!!!!!!!but still gotta love it right?? i wonder wat its going to look like in another 20 years???? well gottta go do that chemstry hw >=( lol

wow.. i wish school was like this again. :/

now they have solar pannels, bars and fences, alot more green and dirty >.< less trees and benches and i think that in the 80s they didnt have the 500s classrooms near the p.e area. alot has changed unfortunately, but its still a great school

theres fencing drumline band orchestra choir art ROTC (military marine etc;) medical academy and classes where they teach you mechanics and welding etc; it would be fun to have alot of those classes
