You got to give em props for the tribute but lets face it, they lost nothing here. Anyone can smash flimsy cheap props,The Orrible Oooo actually smashed the real McCoy, Gibsons/Gretch guitars and Premier drums.The difference would be like seeing a picture of a sunset and then seeing an actual sunset on the beach. Plus Phish are such polite blokes, almost like muppets, you just know that no ones gettin hurt, The Who were angry young men, best to keep your distance anything could happen and did.

I had front row for this show and had in my possession a piece of that crummy acoustic guitar that Trey destroyed! When I moved away from home, it was in a box that I left behind and one day my mom, who is insane about cleaning, threw it away! For a while, though, I owned a small piece of rock history. :)

@lookhear49 Not stupid at all - This was the encore of the show where Phish covered The Who's Quadrophenia album in its entirety. It's a genius tribute to The Who's performance of My Generation on the Smothers Brothers TV show back in the mid-60's. That was the legendary performance where the band smashed up their instruments at the end of the song, climaxed by Keith Moon's drum set being blown up, which caused permanent hearing loss in Pete Townshend's right ear.
