Geek Brief TV #241

About a year before we started podcasting, Neal and I decided we
wanted to be debt free. We worked hard to make that a reality, and
about a month after we dropped the debt, we discovered Dave Ramsey
[1]. He does a national talk show, it's the fastest growing one right
now, and it's all about helping people get out of debt so they can
begin to build wealth. He's a Christian. It's not a Christian show,
but he does it cool, because he doesn't judge people or preach, he
just seems to care. He loves people all the way to financial freedom.

I mentioned Dave's name a couple times on Geek Brief and discovered
that some of Dave's Web team watch Geek Brief. They invited me to
come see Dave, so I said, "No way I'm skipping that opportunity!" it
may seem off topic for Geek Brief, but this is a conversation with a
business guy who gets the importance of social media. He gets that
it's not a one-way conversation.

It was a huge honor to spend some time talking to Dave, and I hope
that I'm introducing him to some of you that want to get out of debt.
