Part 2 of the series. When I'm done with these I'll probably try to avoid talking about God for a while because I'll hopefully have said what there is to say.

  • I like how Douglas Adams dealt with the fine tuning argument the most. He described a puddle considering the whole it sat in, pondering how the hole fit it exactly, and concluding that the hole was designed to fit the puddle. We all know of course it was the other way around, the puddle fits the hole. Replace hole with universe and puddle with life, and say good bye to the fine tuning argument.

  • A weak argument fluffed up with big words.......

    well done.

  • I am not a theist...but the argument goes like this. Since we can imagine an infinite number of other values for the cosmological constants, our universe was terribly improbable. It is more likely that a fine tuner designed this universe than it came about as a brute fact. p G/f > p N/f...where f is functional universe (our universe) G=God..N=natural...I don't buy it, but this is their argument and it seems intuitive at least.

  • @laninarushy The universe was simple produced by something of which we have absolutely no way of knowing anything about. We cant say what the purpose of the universe is or we can't infer anything about the nature of the thing that produced it. So to say it is a designer is really begging the question. We simply dont know, just accept it and remain agnostic in regards to our knowledge.

  • I'm sure it seems stupid to those too stupid to understand it.

  • Im starting to think the guy who made this video and who narrates it doesnt know what the hell he is talking about. I mean he is saying the Grand Canyon proves that there is no Intelligent Designer, how stupid are you?? loll

  • So where's the video on the ontological argument? I'm enjoying this series. :)

  • Good job provng your opponents point

  • Complexity implies evolution, not a designer. The teleological argument is overrated. Even when invoking fine tuning, you could always assume there was an infinite time before the big bang for natural universes to form randomly until a good one comes.
