Cannonball Run Day 1 - ESB ecars

Friday 9th September 2011 - In the presence of more than 150 supercars, the ESB electric car, the first ever electric car in a Cannonball Run got off to a silent start in Merrion Square at 10.00 am on Friday . The impressive convoy drove to Mondello for a few quick laps and the LEAF was charged up in Mayfield and then in Kilkenny before stopping for lunch in Waterford. The last fast charge stop of the day was in Dungarvan before travelling on to the overnight stop in Cork. The car is charging overnight and will be ready for another exciting scenic and electric drive tomorrow.
