OCD is an extreme anxiety disorder that is often triggered by stressful events plus genetics. I don't know why anyone would want to purposely live like this. I hate clutter. Some people are comforted by it. It is extremely stressful for them to throw things away.

@NoseyNNana I agree with you that OCD is an anxiety disorder. OCD runs in my Mom's side of the family. Different family members have reacted it in different ways. I had a grandmother who was immaculate. She couldn't wait until you were finished with your cup of tea before the cup was washed and put away. I have other aunts who constantly clean. My Mom has a cousin who is a hoarder and cannot get rid of things. I have a disorder called "magical thinking." It is a lot like Marc Summers
