Animation of worldwide earthquakes from January and February of 2010. It includes the devastating Haiti and Chile quakes.

Key:
Small Red Dots = 2.0 - 4.9 mag
Hollow Rings = 5.0 - 5.9 mag
Big Red Rings = 6.0+ mag

Items of note:
Haiti's initial quake = 7.0 (150,000+ dead)
Chile's initial quake = 8.8 (500+ dead)

What's with the lines connecting some of them

Yeah, I need to rig up some sort of auto-label into the animation itself to show the magnitudes of the bigger ones. It has been on my list of to-dos, but that's a pretty big undertaking in itself. Perhaps on the next video. Also, sorry about the sound. I just noticed it only comes out of the right speaker. Oops! I forgot to update the sound positioning stuff when I upgraded the layout of my map. ;-)
