  • Actually, the i3 has a four chips... not 3 dual. I believe it would be considered a quad. both machines have AERO turned ON.

  • intel has advantage cause i3 means triple core and amd has dual core, intel doesnt have the aero theme enabled amd has it enabled

  • Look one:

The monitor "AMD" is an Old CRT, while the i3 is an LCD (Notice the LISP).

Besides the screen even with the AMD test continues with the transparency of windows 7 bar, as in Intel does not. Simple as that!

  • They were both brand new machines at the time. each one had identical settings, and there is no CRT monitor... im not sure what you are looking at, or where you got that from. They are laptops, with LCD monitors.

  • regardless of cpu it must be INTEL graphics in the left and ATI 5470 on the right

  • @bobbyhadley i ran this and i get 618 for the overall performance test, not bad for DDR2 666Mhz ram. So that makes Athlon II m300 better than I3.

  • @bobbyhadley are you Intel Fan? Where the hell do you see aero turned on on IntelPC? do you even know what aero is?

  • @bobbyhadley Actually the i3 is a dual core with Hyper threading, Not a true Quad Core (thats the i5)

However, if it's an Athlon and not an Athlon II, then the AMD really has no chance (not that it had one before, Intel beats any AMD Clock for Clock.)

  • Oh my god, I thought their wrould be people who knew about computers commenting here, i3 is dual core, not triple or quad, i5s aren't APUs, only xtreme edition i7s are $899, and their are many more stupid things people have said in the comments, but I can't be bothered to correct all if them -_-

  • @bobbyhadley I don't believe their is such a thing as a quad i3, I think they only make dual core i3s

  • @binsbenejhown are u saying intel doesnt support win 7 transparent bar?

  • ok, the i3 is a DUAL core cpu with hyperthreading, giving it 4 threads not a tripple core cpu, the i5 is just a quad core cpu without hyperthreading and the i7 is a quad core with hyperthreading. But Yes, I like intel cpus alot, but the nicer one's cost way too much, and their graphics, i never liked them, ati or now amd i like their graphics alot. and i havent had much of a nvidia so i can give good word about them yet.
