This clip is from our series "35 most asked questions concerning Bible Prophecy". This clip answers the question:Why is the trumpet that sounds at the Rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4 not the same as "the last trump" in Matthew 24?
God bless! hope you will comprehend my english I am from the province of Quebec could it be the last tromp of the feast of trompette. Jesus at His first comming faufild the 4 spring feast the feast of the Lord and to me it is logical that He will faufill the 3 feast of the fall the feast of trompet ? what do you think about the 4 lunars eclypes and 2 sun eclypses that will be on the days of these feasts in 2014-2015 ganimale@gmail.com thank
Paul was certainly not unaware of Christ's teaching in Matt 24 where our Lord mentions the trumpet at His coming which is post trib (v.29 & 31). Beside the obvious allusion to this trumpet being the last one before the start of the Millenium, Paul makes no attempt to distance his mention of the last trumpet from Christ's mention of the trumpet at His post trib coming. We have therefore no reason to make them two different trumpets.
eh, I'm not sure I buy this as *the* meaning of "the last trump" (there are other possible meanings), though I absolutely agree (for reasons he stated) it cannot mean the last trump of the 7 trumpets of Revelation
