This is a 16-minute gameplay of id Software's Quake on DOS, played on DOSBox. Quake is a 3D first-person shooting game developed by id Software and released in 1996 originally on the PC and DOS. It has been ported to many systems, including the Nintendo 64.

In this video, three levels are shown. This is the shareware version, so no levels in Episode 2, 3 and 4 are shown. There is also no music because of an error that is occured at the first loading screen. However, it is played in full screen mode with the camera set to record at 720p, so you should catch a lot of detail in this video.

My opinion of the game: It's actually not that bad, it's fun. I would rather find an electronic vendor to download the full version of the game because the setting is very unique, there's a lot of detail and it follows a subject, a combination of ancient and cartoon-like absorbent graphics, all in a very reliable environment. The physics are amazing, there's just so much work involved that it was really worth it back in those days.

By the way, I failed in the last level when I was almost at the end, which is where I made my cut. The video mode is 320 x 200, so that way you can see how amazing it looks, right down to the slightest pixel in a polygon.

I had to use a camera instead of video capture software because I didn't had any where you can record at 30 frames per second and lasting longer than 30 seconds. You could do that for HyperCam, but the audio would then not be synced with the actual gameplay.

Again, this is an attempt to populate my channel so that way they can follow my Traffic & The River preview. However, this video is not made to be better than CuteFloor's gameplay video.

Enjoy!
