This is the new version BMW Premium Package Mirror w/ Auto Dim, Homelink UGDO, Hidden Compass, and Flat nose Alarm LED. It is tested on my 2001 330i E46 Sedan.
This Premium Package Mirror has a BMW parts number of 51169192335 (Rearview mirror EC / LED / GTO / Compass) and a stamped production date of 09/2009 and is Brand New and fully functional.

It will fit on all BMW Sedans, SUVs and Coupes from 2000 to present. If your 2000 to 2010 model year BMW came with a standard auto dimmer function or the clown nose LED Alarm on the mirror then this Premium Package mirror is an easy 5 to 10 minute plug and play installation.

This video is intended as demonstration to assist in eBay auction sale.

  • what freqw the homelink is ?, my car has homelink an di like to upgrade it with the kompas mirror, as far i can see there a two freqw on the market.

and the newer mirror from the e90 do they fit( the one's whit the short led noze

  • @harrympower I don't remember but I think it is 315 mhz in the USA and another number in Europe and Australia. Check the realoem website or use google search for the information and it will come up.

  • @harrympower Yeah the new E90 mirrors fits the E46 and older BMW cars 3, 5, 7, Z and X series after 2001. It will not work with convertibles. I don't know what car you have so I can't say but if your car is in the 2001 and newer range and is NOT a convertible then it should be plug and play. I have the complete write up and DIY for doing the project. USE GOOGLE SEARCH for "homelink compass mirror retrofit E46" and it will come up.

  • @harrympower The parts number on the realoem parts database are different for the mirrors between cabrios and non-cabrios. I think the mirrors mount base on the windshield is different. I'm not sure but you can check the parts number. BMW does make homelink compass mirrors for both cabrios and non-cabrios so you will find a mirror that will fit your cabrio.

  • Question: If the car is parked outside your home, can someone break into it and use the homelink to open your garage door if the car is not running?

  • @leslieannbutler I just tried it. Left my windows down, locked the car in front of the garage and stuck my hands in there and pushed the homelink buttons. First of all my BMW Alarm came on the minute I stuck my hand thru the window. Second none of the buttons worked. Even with the car is unlock the buttons do not function unless the key is in the ignition or BMW's power accessories for a few minutes after the key is removed from the ignition before the car is locked and armed. Good question!

  • @1D0N The first sound is the sound that the car makes when the door is open and the key is in the ignition. The second beeping you hear right as I start the car is my Blackerry 8900 email alert sound.

  • @VADER325is I sold it to someone either on eBAy or the E46fanatics BMW forums classified a year ago...wasn't it you?
