Len Shalansky studied art at Cooper Union and the Pratt Institute in New York City. Circa 1962, this black and white footage is of Len and his friends making a student film in Central Park. He gave me this 8mm footage about 10 years ago. I just now transferred it to digital. This footage, as brief and as raw as it is, gives some very nice insight of his younger days in New York. Unfortunately, Len (or Dad as I knew him) passed away in April of this year. - Dave Shalansky, 2011
