I thank God I have access to youtube on a regular basis and that people like you post helpful videos on here. I have saved literally $100's on everything from computer up-grades to home made cell phone accessories. I am so thankful that people are open hearted to share what they know versus being just plain stingy. Thank you so much!

Great video but if you need to remove and replace your old bathtub drain then the EzXtractor tool is a must. Its fast and easy just a few minutes and the job is done

Thank you for making my life easier!

@TheAppleballGuys Same here, my central shaft hasn't budged after I attempted to remove it and the stopper using a slotted screwdriver by placing the bit of screwdriver into the square hole at the top of central shaft.
The shaft you took out with the screwdriver wont come out for me. how do i do it?

@domelessness - One of two things. First, if you removed the top center knob and the center shaft will not turn with a screwdriver, pour some white vinegar on the shaft and let it sit for a few minutes. It is possible that there is sediment build-up and the vinegar will eat through or soften the sediment enough to turn the shaft.

@domelessness - The other possibility is that your particular stopper has a set screw on the shaft. It is a bit difficult to locate. Lift the stopper as far as possible and shine a flashlight between the drain and bottom of the stopper. Look for a small Allen head or Phillips-head screw on the shaft. Loosen the screw and pull the stopper out. You don't need to remove the screw, just loosen it. Use a magnetic screwdriver to avoid accidentally dropping the screw down the drain.
